Andry Rakotondrazanany ,30 years old, is the designer of the brand HAGAMAINTY.
He studied , first, History at the Antananarivo University before heading toward fashion.
He had started as self-taught fashion designer in Madagascar, before attending the technical courses at the Parisian School “Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisisenne”. Then he followed internships at some French fashion houses such as: Corinne Cobson, John Galliano and Jean Paul Gaultier.

He launched his own label HAGAMAINTY, in Madagascar in 1997 and has been present in the international scale since 2004
The brand’s name HAGAMAINTY is inspired from a 18 century Malagasy Prince’s name which means “Black Pearl"
He presented his first international collection at the Parisian show: (Salon du Prêt-à-porter and Who's Next).
Starting from that time, the label is selling in Paris, in Japan and New York.
